Excuses

The sluggard says, “There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!” Proverbs 22:13

The Bible is a practical book. It speaks to every facet of life, including laziness.

If you really don’t want to do something you’ll find an excuse not to do it. Likewise, if you really want to do something, you will find a way to make it happen.

Recently I read that with the exception of physical talent (such as a professional baseball or basketball player), there really is nothing we cannot do if we put out minds to it.

  • Learn a language
  • Learn how to cross stitch
  • Learn quantum physics
  • Learn how to program
  • Learn to play the piano or guitar

The list is endless.

All of those listed above can be learned by everyone reading this post. It may take a while but it can be done if you put your mind to it. You can make a hundred excuses why you can’t do it; anyone can do that. But once you make your mind up to do it, there will be no stopping you. So go for it!
