She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:27
Have you ever been in a “holding pattern” for what you think God might want you to do? Some reading this might be in that pattern right now. You’re doing stuff but you’re not getting anywhere. You want to serve God more but you don’t know how. Many of us face those times in our lives. Some have been in that place for a long time. It’s no fault of your own; it just happens that way.
At times like these it’s easy to get discouraged about what kind of difference you’re making for God. The enemy would have us become discouraged even about our salvation, making people think that we’re not doing enough for God. Well, fortunately our salvation is not based at all on what we do or don’t do for God. Hallelujah! It’s entirely based on Jesus Christ and his “work” on the cross.
Do I know what you should be doing with your life? Of course not. But I do know this, you can rest in the FINISHED work of Christ.
