12 But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. Psalm 102:12-13

Ruthless leaders have tried to extinguish the Light of Christ in many countries throughout the history of Christianity.

Verse 12 is a testament to the enduring and eternal nature of the Lord. Many Believers have been martyred defending the faith. The church has grown out of those deaths.

When onlookers see how resilient and steadfast Believers are in the face of death, they become curious and seek out those who have endured such treatment. They want to know who or what they are following that would allow them to face death in the way they do.

This is a example of what the Lord’s renown is all about.

Most of us will not preach to millions but we can share where we are. This is just one of the ways the Lord’s renown continues to spread across the world.

It’s easy to think you’re not making a difference. Our job isn’t to grow the crop; that’s the job of the Holy Spirit.

Our job is to liberally cast the seed far and wide.
