The lazy man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions. Proverbs 12:27
How are you at finishing the job? Do you finish well? Are you as diligent with painting that last corner of the room as you were when your brush was fresh and the newness of the opened paint can wafted through the air?
Solomon talks about a man who doesn’t quite finish the job of serving up the game that he somehow acquired. Maybe he’s tired from the hunt and can’t go further with the game, so he stops and eats it without preparing it first.
Most people will not notice that you might have been a tad lazy during the last tenth of the job, but you will know.
