6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:6-7

What is this gift that God gave Timothy? He gave us power, love, and self-discipline. It’s an interesting mix, isn’t it? They actually fit nice together.

• If you have power without self-discipline, you’re a terror.
• If you have love without self-discipline, then you love everyone without discernment.
• If you have power without love, then you’re a dictator.
• If you have self-discipline without love, then you’re just a machine.

So, did God give us all these gifts? I think you know the answer to this. Of course He did. And we don’t even have to have the benefit of Paul laying hands on us to get them.

What’s stopping us from desiring and praying all three right now? Only you can answer that.
