For the Lord is righteous,
he loves justice;
the upright will see his face. Psalm 11:7
The best we have with justice is what we see in our complex court systems. Some are good and some not so good. Many of the processes are sound but at the end of the day, many outcomes depend on judges and juries, which are made up of people. Flawed, corrupt, selfish people. You see it every day where someone is set free because of technicalities or high priced lawyers who can manipulate a jury. Sometimes judges are bribed and coerced for a certain verdict.
So while we do have a great court system in the States, it is flawed because of sinful and imperfect people.
Thankfully, it will not always be that way, for a day is coming when the perfect judge will judge the hearts and souls of men and women. No one will be able to hide; no one will be able to cover the injustices they allowed to happen “on their watch.”
While we are glad that a Judge will be fair, we often forget that our actions and words will be judged as well. It’s a sobering thought, isn’t it? That’s why it’s important that we as Believers are careful with our words and deeds. People are watching and listening. rightly or wrongly, they are judging us by our words and actions.
