Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Proverbs 4:25

Now I know that I am beginning to sound like a broken record (for those old enough to understand that phrase), but take a peak at Proverbs 4:23 again: Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. That verse applies to today’s verse, doesn’t it? Singlemindedness. We are focused not only on what goes into our minds, but also what comes out.

When we do that, it will be much easier to keep our gaze fixed straight ahead. Much easier.
