Wisdom is too high for fools; in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths. Proverbs 24:7

It has been said, “Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”

We meet people all the time who “are wise in their own eyes,” and yet they do very foolish things with their relationships and finances. If we’re not careful we can easily fall into the trap of thinking that we are superior to those people, and we often do!

True wisdom comes from knowing who we are and ultimately who God is. It comes by asking for it often.
