When I was a kid, we used to have snow ball fights in our back yard. Two sides would take time to build unsophisticated walls to block incoming snowballs. They rarely protected us that much because at best the walls were three feet high. We had to toss our snow balls on our knees, which wasn’t effective at all. It was all in fun and it could last entire afternoons.

But we have a real enemy in the world, and he plays for keeps. Fortunately, the God of Jacob is our fortress. And, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

God is on our side. We need to recognize that daily lest we be caught up in Satan’s wicked schemes.

Seriously, if God is for us, who can be against us?
