Full of Grace

One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend. Proverbs 22:11

When you’re under the pressure of a deadline or going in several different directions, it’s easy to become terse and and wave someone off. Colossians 4:6 tells us: “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

Scottish dramatist and novelist James M. Barrie wrote: “Always be a little kinder than necessary.”

Of course it’s a “what would Jesus say” kind of moment, but more importantly, what is the person feeling at the moment? One tense word could send the person over the edge. Words do mean things and often they wound needlessly.
