Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle

As Christians, we “get it.”
We understand a bit of the intricacies of what Jesus did for us.
In a small way we get God’s love.
We get that we are totally helpless without Him.

A lot of things about the Christian life, we get, though in a small way. Compared to the complexities and wonder of who God is, it’s all small. In this effort to know God, we’re but a tiny step ahead of our non-Christian friends, albeit an eternally important step.

But what we totally get is the peace and hope we have when we know we are in God’s care. We may no know much else but we do know that.
