One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5

What’s Heaven like? Do we know or do we mainly speculate? We get glimpses in Scripture, but it’s just that, glimpses. There’s a lot of talk about mansions and gold streets and no tears or darkness and any number of “glimpses” we see throughout the Bible.

One thing we do know is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will be there seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Think about that for a minute.

So, while it’s nice to dream about heavenly things, only one thing about Heaven is necessary. The other things pale in comparison.

We have the privilege on this earth to seek His face, to gaze upon His glory long before we do it in Heaven.
