23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
1 Peter 2:23
The last part of that verse should be embedded into our minds.
The evil we see and hear about, the atrocities man is capable of, the evil we know exists, these we need to entrust them into the hands of Him who judges justly.
We love to hear of court cases where the judge and jury got the case right; the guilty was not released on a technicality or no clearly innocent person was wrongly condemned. Unfortunately, those cases are few and far between.
But God judges rightly. We haven’t a clue how He could continue to let evil go on without swift judgement, but his cup of wrath is being stored up for another day. We don’t know when that day will come but it will.
Don’t be discouraged by the lawlessness and lack of impartial judges in the world.
God sees it all, but He waits patiently.
