8 As we have heard,
so we have seen
in the city of the Lord Almighty,
in the city of our God:
God makes her secure
forever. Psalm 48:8
What happens in a town, a city, a state, a nation where there is no God? It’s a rhetorical question but it’s something to consider. Does it prosper? Does it thrive? I think we all know the answer to that.
For any number of years, God has, as the song writer penned, “God shed His grace” on America. God has allowed it to prosper and thrive. Do we see evidence that His grace is waning? As society continues to reject God, the Light that once shone bright is fading. Now, I for one have not given up on this great and generous land. We still have a lot to be grateful for.
As you read this, how does it apply to the land you live in? Is the Light of God shining bright where you live? Do you see evidence that God is still moving and working in the lives of men, women, and children. Even in the darkest of lands, God still has a remnant of Believers willing to give their lives for the Name.
So, is God still in your city?
