2 You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,
since God has blessed you forever. Psalm 45:2
The sons of Korah are addressing the King Messiah in this wedding song of praise. Throughout Jesus’ ministry on earth, he spoke with grace and majesty (Luke 4:22). He embodied the very word. He had nothing but grace for those who were harassed and rejected by their arrogant spiritual leaders, and nothing but scorn for those same leaders.
How is your grace “meter” these days? Do you listen to the news and just want to toss something at the television? Do you find yourself almost cursing out the newscasters. What about other drivers on the road? Or how about the short fuse with your family members?
Discovering that you’re a little light on the grace side is a great first step in making the necessary corrections. Fact is, we all could use more grace and to be more graceful towards others.
