Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you. Romans 16:6
We don’t know exactly who this Mary is, but Paul mentions her for a reason. She’s a hard worker. Perhaps hard workers were as rare back then as it is today.
Are you a hard worker? Would others say that you’re a hard worker? We all have our “lazy spells,” but Mary was singled out for her hard work. And nobody really knows what kind of work Paul was talking about. It didn’t matter to Paul, but it did matter to the Romans because Mary worked on their behalf.
This verse is a simple reminder of “Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, work at it with all your heart….” Colossians 3:17
