This is a basic truth we often forget. We want to take back rule and control of events and things outside of our lives. We know we really can’t change those things, but we worry and fret all day about the economy, war in the Middle East and around the world, politics, football teams, and a variety of other things. We can’t control the outcome for these things so why fret? Certainly we can have a tiny say in what happens, but more than that is a waste of energy.

Can we now commit to daily acknowledging that God is God and we are not? It’s funny if you think about it. The Sovereign Lord of the Universe, the One Who created the heavens above, the seas, and seven billion people wants us to know that He is still God and is totally in control of everything in and about our lives?

Yeah, that sums it up.
