He is to be Praised

3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

John 1:3

Jesus was not a created being. Instead, He was the creator. Just as He was the spoken and written Word of God, he was the creator as well. God the Father created the world through Him.

This verse, along with the verses before and after, has been studied, written about, pondered and expounded upon through the centuries. It is, after all, a fascinating study on the Son of God.

What we can learn from this is simple: Jesus was not a created being. He was part of the Holy Trinity. He was God in the flesh.

Why is that important?

We don’t serve a created being. A created being has flaws and faults and is prone to error.

Not so, this Jesus.

We serve God Himself in the flesh. He was “there” when it all began and part of the creation process.

He is to be worshiped; He is to be praised.
