When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.” John 11:4-7
Yes, Jesus knew exactly what He was doing when he stayed two more days! How many times do we question that, though? A better question might be how many times A DAY do we question His presence of seeming lack there of?
- When the world is in utter chaos, He knows what He’s doing.
- When the nations rage, He knows what He’s doing.
- When the bad guys seem to get away with murder, He knows what He’s doing.
- When your world comes crashing down around you, He knows what He’s doing.
He’s never late on anything. And I know that runs contrary to our experience sometimes, but our past experience has taught us that, well, He knows what He’s doing.
