Over the next four days my wife, Kerry, will be writing the devotionals as I will be on a trip without internet, electricity, or plumbing.
“The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries, He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; therefore He shall lift up the head.” Psalm 110:5-7
Jesus Christ came to the earth with love and forgiveness granted to all who believe and come to Him. He will come again as judge for those who reject Him.
Here the psalmist tells us that God will execute the heads of many countries. We know the names of many of those who have ruled or do rule on this earth mocking God and with injustice. God is going to have a day when He takes them down.
God’s people are often shamed for believing in God and or for following His ways. It may be the ridicule someone suffers at the water cooler or it may loss of job or it may be prison or even death as the enemies of God shame His people. I see this picture of God’s people out by the wayside shamed for following Him and God’s answer to this is, He sees you there on the wayside.
Drink of the living water, and the day will come when “He shall lift up the head.”
