Whoever leads the upright along an evil path will fall into their own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance. Proverbs 28:10
And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Romans 8:17 ESV
Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:12 ESV
We should never think that our “inheritance” is of earthly goods, though many proscribe to that doctrine. It’s such a tragic and small view of the world and of God Himself!
Think about it, our inheritance is something much more spectacular than living in the finest of mansions or jetsetting around the world.
We are heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. Because the just (Christ) suffered for the unjust (us), we now may have an inexplicable inheritance.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:33-36
