Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14

Have you ever wondered what this world would be like without God in it? It would be the very definition of chaos and mayhem.

• People would give in to their selfish desires without restraint.
• Crime would skyrocket.
• Mobs would rule.
• Very little “good” would get done because there would be no good people to do it.
• People would have no reason at all to restrain themselves.
• There would be no beauty.

And that’s all within the first 24 hours! In short, humans would devolve quickly into animals.

I ask that question to get us thinking about how God has influenced the world. We would be in a sorry state.

Fortunately, though, we don’t have to think of a world without God because He exists and is highly active in the affairs of those He created.

With all this is going on in the world, we need to be satisfied every morning with His unfailing love.
