As more and more information is poured out onto the internet, it is getting vitally important to have discernment over things big and small. What is fact and what is fiction? What is malicious and biased reporting and what is exactly what happened?

Similarly, as we listen to politicians it is easy to actually believe them, but unfortunately most have signs of being untrustworthy. They will lie to you to get your vote. Not all, but many. A few questions to ask in this regard are: what are they promising you and how will they pay for it? Are they “demonizing” one segment of society to pander to another? Unfortunately, the old joke may be more accurate than we know: “how do you know a politician is lying? His lips are moving.”
