You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6

The one event in history that changed the world was the birth of Jesus. He entered the world just when we needed Him the most. It wouldn’t work for Him to come earlier or later. It was the perfect time. The prophets foretold his arrival and what He would be like. But when He arrived, the Jews – for the most part – didn’t believe Him. They waited eagerly for the Messiah and He appeared, but they didn’t recognize Him.

To be fair, we have the advantage of 2000 years and the written Word of God as proof that the Son of God was here, died, was buried, and was raised again.

They needed Him then but didn’t recognize it; we need Him now and all too often don’t recognize Him in our midst.
