Have you ever had days of reflection, days that you just think about the major things in life: your life, your reasons for being here, family, career goals, retirement, etc? We need to occasionally take stock of our lives.

Some of us, I suspect, take stock regularly because the ending of our lives is nearer than we think, and we want it to end well.

Sadly, though, many go through life living day to day with no regard for the future. I know quite a few who do that. While I personally tend to be reflective, I have stretches of days where it doesn’t matter one way or another.

So, where are you at right now? Have you thought about the future and your role in it? Are you making every day count? What that means to you may be very different than what it means to me. Still, though, if we are to serve our Lord well, we must consider the future.
