Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!

Many times throughout his life, David was pursued by real enemies who wanted to take his life! In the West we have political foes and those who would tear down the foundations of our faith if they could but very little persecution, though it’s starting to become more hostile towards people of faith.

Still, compared to the suffering our Brothers and Sisters in persecuted nations must endure, our “light and momentary trials” really are nothing. As I write this (and as you prepare for morning worship), churches are being burned, pastors are being imprisoned, and Believers are having to flee for their lives, all because of the Name.
