5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5-7

While Peter initially addressed the younger crowd, he broadens his appeal to those who would be proud: everybody. It’s a common theme throughout the book of Proverbs so it’s something we all experience to varying degrees throughout our daily existence.

The New Year is closing in quickly. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association wrote out 12 Ways to Humble Yourself that make a lot of sense for the practicing Believer. I don’t think I can match the wisdom and insight of this wonderful organization. .
