But as for me, I am poor and needy;
may the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
you are my God, do not delay. Psalm 40:17
“I was thinking of you today.”
We hear that and sometimes say it about someone else. It is always said fondly and we get good feelings when we hear it. Why? Because we like to know others are thinking about us.
Unfortunately, we don’t always think that the Lord is thinking of us, do we?
We think He’s got the whole world to take care of so why should He bother with us.
But He’s God!
Multitasking is a thing with Him. To the extreme.
God can be thinking about 7 billion people at once AND direct current world affairs.
He doesn’t even break a sweat doing it!
He’s thinking of you today. He’ll do it all over again tomorrow.
In fact, all day every day He’s thinking about you.
How would that revolutionize our life if we remembered that every day?
Would we think of Him more often?
Would we tell Him that we’re thinking of Him more often?
How secure would it make you feel that the Creator of the Universe is constantly thinking of you?
