The proud and arrogant man-“Mocker” is his name; he behaves with overweening pride. Proverbs 21:24
Consider the saying, “be kind to the people on your way up because you’ll meet them again on your way down.”
The proud believe themselves to be invincible. And when you’re “on top of the world” with everything going for you, why wouldn’t you think any other way?
This pride applies to every walk of life: business, military, nations, leaders, Christians, and especially Christian leaders.
This person’s blind spot is his pride. He doesn’t see how it could possibly destroy him. After all, he is better than all of his peers. He’ll never see the pride and arrogance unless someone close points it out. Often it will take more than one person to convince.
