First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
Now more than ever our leaders need our prayers. There’s a lot of craziness around the country, not just in Washington DC. I’m afraid there are only a few who have not gone totally nuts, but just a few.
Pick a topic: defense, spending, taxes, border security, international relations, energy, COVID-19, crime, Israel, or any others. Stick with that topic through the week and pray for our leaders. They need wisdom and some may even need to be brought to justice. There’s just so much going on now that it’s hard to wrap your head around it, and it’s not just in this country. It seems as if the entire world has gone crazy.
Pray for the President, Congress, the courts. Pray all of this at the State level as well. There’s something deeper going on than what we see so we need divine wisdom to get through it.
