7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever—holy and awesome is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise. Psalm 111:7-10
Those reading this devotional know the power of the Word of God in the life of a Believer. You know that power in your own life.
But we get distracted a lot. We live in a fast-paced world completely filled with technological, medical, and cultural advances. Some of them good and others not so good. Even the Bible has been transformed into an “app.” You don’t hear the “holy rustle” of the Bible as much on Sunday mornings because it’s all in a digital format.
Still, the Bible is just as powerful and relevant as it was before all the new technology came our way.
It’s really a matter of getting back to the basics of reading and meditating on the Word of God. It’s easy to make it complicated. The enemy would want the process to be complicated.
Sometimes it’s just a matter of shutting out all else and focusing even for a few minutes on the power and wonder of God. We would be blessed to do just that.
No apps.
No interruptions.
Focus on the Word of God like a laser beam
