The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. Proverbs 10:28
Do you have joy in your life? As you already know, one fruit of the Spirit is joy. It’s not a more important fruit but it is perhaps the most apparent. Let’s be honest: life sometimes wears us down.
Sometimes?
No, most of the time. So when you feel that way, know that you are normal. You’re not a bad Christian just because you get worn down from the worries and cares of this world. It is, however, important to stay connected to the Vine, as it were. The Vine has the power to energize and motivate us, the branches.
Stay connected. Stay focused. Put play into your life. Refresh. Renew. And do it all over again tomorrow.
One response to “Joy and the Vine”
Thank you for this message. I was feeling so down yesterday and my husband had in fact said that I let myself get too affected from “the worries and cares of the world” – however that is who I am! This message is very motivating for me and I will try to “stay connected to the Vine.” Thank you again!
