All a man’s ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart. Proverbs 21:2

We like to justify things. We can rationalize all day long. Even some of our rationalization causes us to smile because we know we are trying to rationalize.

There are times, though, that we rationalize without us realizing we are rationalizing. We really really want something to happen. But God ultimately knows the heart. He knows the motives and our rationale for why we want to do things.

We would do well to lean on Him for counsel and wisdom as we make decisions large and small.
