When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. Proverbs 31:21

If I may take a few symbolic liberties, the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 is ready for the cold harshness that life often brings. She prepares them the best she knows how, with grace, courage, and truth. She protects them as a hen protects her chicks. She is always thinking about them and their well-being.

Today, as you consider how best to prepare your family from the realities of life, pray for them. Pray also that you’ll be able to protect them adequately. Pray for wisdom in how to handle situations as they arise.
