Lion of Judah

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his. Genesis 49:10

More than 2000 years had to pass for this prophecy to be fulfilled. Luke 3:23-34 and in Matthew 1:1-16 trace the lineage of Jesus back to Jacob’s son Judah. The Kingdom that Jesus ushered in was spiritual despite the disciples’ best efforts otherwise.

It took 2000 years to fulfill the prophecy and 2000 years have passed since then. The Lion of Judah still roars. The Lion of Judah is still the most feared beast, and the Lion of Judah is still working on the hearts of men, women, and children throughout the world.

He’s certainly not the weak, ineffective man that Hollywood and atheists have portrayed him as. No, one day, and the day is getting closer, He will roar, and that roar will be unmistakable, and that roar will cause those who have mocked and cursed Him to bend their knees in submission to Him.

We are not there yet, but

“He who testifies to these things says “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20
