Lived Out

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7

I don’t think we fully comprehend how important it is for us to bring praise, glory, and honor to God. But why is it so important? There are many reasons I suppose but one is that it lies in the verse we’ve recited since we were children: For God so loved the world. . . If we bring glory to God, (1) others will see it and wonder what all the fuss is about, (2) inquire and then, having seen the truth of the Gospel lived out, (3) believe.

The world is hungering for truth. They don’t see it in their politicians who constantly lie to them. They don’t see it in their work settings, where climbing over one another to get to the top seems to be the order of the day. They certainly don’t see it in their relatives.

When the Gospel is lived out, people notice and lives are changed. One way of living out this Gospel is by accepting those in the faith who have beliefs that are different than ours. Remember, Christ accepted us, and at the time our beliefs were very different than his.
