13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14 But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. Acts 4:13-15
The “fruit” of what Peter and John did was standing beside them. The religious leaders knew who he was because they probably passed him hundreds of times on their way to the temple. They could not argue with the objective truth.
There are people in your lives who observe you because of your beliefs. They want to see fruit. They want to know that you’re they “real deal.” The healed man was the fruit of Peter and John’s early ministry. Those two were also bearing fruit of a life sold out to Christ.
I want to encourage you to keep on doing what you’re doing even if it seems boring and mundane. If you’re living the life God wants you to live, you will bear fruit. A peaceful life, for instance, is an undeniable truth in this chaotic world.
