Love Each Other Deeply

8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Over and over again we see that loving others is demanded of the Christian. You’d think we’d understand the concept by now, but we don’t. Love is a hard thing, especially for those in the Body who are unlovely. But the command isn’t going away. In fact, it’s written throughout the Old and New Testaments so it must be important.

The thing is, we don’t wake up one day and say we’ll love someone. It’s a day by day process of taking little steps to show our love. And the hardest time to show someone love is when we really don’t feel like it or the other person is being unlovable. If we’re waiting for others to love us, we’re doing it wrong. We need to be proactive and reactive.
