6 The Lord will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” Psalm 87:6
There was an old hymn titled, “Is My Name Written There” with this as the chorus:
Is my name written there,
On the page white and fair?
In the book of Thy kingdom,
Is my name written there?
It’s all written down and recorded in some fashion (computer, digital, yellow legal paper, video, etc). When the Lord ushers us into heaven, He, of course, will know already if our name’s written there or else we wouldn’t get anywhere near the place. Essentially, when the roll is called up yonder, we’ll be there.
Do you think about Heaven? Do you ever wonder what it’s really like? Do you wonder what your friends and relatives who have passed away are doing right now?
I think of the lady who prayed me into the Kingdom. She passed away a few years back. What’s she doing up there? Is she looking down and smiling? Can they even see down here?
What’s it like? What’s it really like? We’ll know when we get there, but we only get a glimpse of things until then.
What’s it like?
