Mission Accomplished

Indeed, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.” Psalm 87:5

I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the Lord your God. Amos 9:14-15

More then 2500 years later, the State of Israel was born. Any number of events could have easily wiped Israel from the map, but God protected a remnant of people who were committed to establishing Israel as a nation. The passage in Amos is only one reference to a new Israel. Several more prophecies were fulfilled in 1948.

Ezekiel 37:10-14 – Valley of Dry Bones
Isaiah 66:7-8 – Woman giving birth
Ezekiel 37:21-22 – A Unified Nation
Jeremiah 16:14-15 – More impressive than the first
Ezekiel 4:3-6 – Besiege it
Ezekiel 34:13 – Into Their Own Land
Leviticus 26:3, 7-8 – A very strong army

God has established her! Fortunately, that’s not the end to this story. Israel continues to fight for her existence with very little help from most other nations. the United States is considered a weak ally.

Continue to pray for the small but powerful nation of Israel. Pray for wisdom among its leadership. They know what they’re up against but they also need divine intervention.
