10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 2 Timothy 1:10

The continuation of verse 9 completes the thought that though the grace was given before the beginning of time, it was revealed in Christ. It’s a powerful thing to consider that we no longer must be in darkness. We have the truth, the Light of Life to light our way. This message is true for new believers and for those who have been in the faith a long time. The Gospel is for all who will accept it. God’s grace was freely given.

The gospel message is simple. The Christian life, on the other hand, is difficult because we still live in the world full of sin and degradation. However, we have the power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and God the Father to help us. It’s not a nice thing to have; it’s essential.
