Not too long ago it was still fashionable to be embarrassed by the things we did. That thin cloak of decency is being shredded almost daily.

Just recently an actress tweeted photos of her abortion before and after the fact. It turns out it was a hoax but the damage was already done. For whatever reason this actress deemed it appropriate to joke and boast about her abortion. She has no shame, and since that tweet appeared, countless others have tweeted the same thing. It’s one thing to actually commit the act of murdering an unborn. It’s entirely different to boast about it for all the world to see.

Gone are the days when being an unwed mother was a bad thing.
Gone are the days when spending beyond your means was rare.
Gone are the days when beating up an older person was unheard of.
Gone are the days when teachers taught children instead of sleeping with them.

We can point to any number of things in our society that is responsible for the decline but it’s those things combined that ultimately led to it.

As you’ve probably read before in this space, we are facing some very dark times financially, morally, and spiritually.

Now is the time to pray for this society. While we can’t turn back the hands of time and continue to wish for the ‘good ol’ days’ we can pray that God will somehow spare us doom right around the corner.
