9 We are given no signs from God; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be. Psalm 74:9
Have you ever looked at all the chaos and tumult in the world and thought the same thing? Even in our Information Age, we are bombarded with meaningless “news” such as Bruce Jenner, a presidential candidate’s traffic citations, and a confederate flag that seems to cause massacres. It’s easy to lose touch with what is really happening in the world. While we do have access to more information than ever before, accessing meaningful information about life and death issues takes a real concerted effort.
Just when we think we’re the only Christians in the world fighting “the good fight,” we hear stories of Christians triumphing around the world. It trickles out. Then we hear the stories of how Christians are being severely persecuted in many nations. While those stories may be disturbing, they reveal one thing: we are not alone in this fight. We know that in theory, but it is highlighted in these stories.
We have no idea what these Christians are hearing about us, but given their circumstances, it would be easy to assume that they are all alone.
Below is a list of the most persecuted countries in the world. Would you pray for a Christian worker in just one of those lands? If you don’t know about any of those nations, just go to Open Doors USA, and click on one of the nations. Inside there is general information plus specific prayer points for each country. Let our voices be heard in prayer.
