It will be interesting to see what develops in the near future. President-elect Trump campaigned on officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel instead of where it is now in Tel Aviv. Israeli leaders want this to happen as well.

As it gets closer to fruition, Muslims around the world and most of Trump’s detractors will strongly oppose it. Currently the Palestinians claim Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. In theory two nations cannot claim the same city as their capital. There will be friction.
