O My Soul!

20 Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the Lord, my soul. Psalm 103:20-22

David exhorts the angels, heavenly hosts, and even God’s works to praise Him. They do and they will do just that.

Then, and this is where “the rubber meets the road,” he exhorts his own soul to praise Him.

It’s one thing for every living creature to Praise the Lord, but He wants us to do that.

He wants us to take the time to praise Him.

He wants us to stand before His presence and “let it loose,” whatever that means to each of us.

When we do that, our soul gets fed, and our day is bound to go better.

However, when we don’t do that, our spiritual batteries don’t get recharged and we run on our own strength.

Praise the Lord, my soul. Praise the Lord.
