5 For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. 6 But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever. 2 Corinthians 7:5-7
Titus was Paul’s spiritual son and obviously love him dearly. They had traveled together and Titus was very valuable to Paul.
We all know what it’s like to see someone we haven’t seen in a while. We understand the joy and anticipation of seeing that person again. We count the days and sketch out plans on what we’ll do together.
Give that old friend a call today. You haven’t spoken in some time. Call just to call. No agenda. You don’t want or need anything except to hear his or her voice. Do it before the end of the day today. You’ll be glad you did.
