On That Day

Lift up your heads, you gates;
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,
    the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
    lift them up, you ancient doors,
    that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty—
    he is the King of glory. Psalm 24:7-10

Quick, open the gates, the King of Glory is coming. Quick, open them wide. He mustn’t be kept waiting.

David ends this psalm with a mini-tribute to this King of Glory. Even though he’s been dead for thousands of years, David has seen the King of Glory face to face.

What will it be like…on that day?

It’s really hard to imagine what it will be like face to face with our redeemer, master, savior, Jesus Christ.

    what a glorious day that will be…it’s hard for us to imagine because no man on earth has the capability to see it..
