In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. Proverbs 31:19
Great women are talented and creative. Not only is she a good business person, but she knows how to craft some of the goods she sells.
Perhaps she learned how to weave and sew when she was just a girl. Maybe she has been learning for the last year because she saw a need she could meet.
If you’re like me, you don’t know everything. You know bits and pieces of many things but there are still some things you’d like to learn how to do. It would be easy at this point to throw out the Nike slogan of “just do it!” but it’s not all that helpful.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s devotional, it only takes a few minutes of each day for a year or two to master something useful. What is it for you? A language perhaps? A skill? But you say, “it could take years for me to learn that.” So, two years down the road you could be enjoying that skill. If you don’t start now, then two years will have passed and you will have regretted not doing it.
