The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. Proverbs 10:28

The second half to this verse is powerful for the Believer to understand. The unbeliever on his death bed has nothing to look forward to, and will soon face a Christless eternity. THAT would be depressing.

When you lose hope, there really is nothing left for you.

As I mentioned in an earlier post recently, our Hope is in Christ.

Encourage one another with these words:
“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus….” Hebrews 6:19

“”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-4
