33 I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
34 May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord.
35 But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Praise the Lord. Psalm 104:33-35
What we think about is very important to God. These “meditations” reveal our motivations and desires, as well as our frustrations and hurts.
We all know that our thoughts affect our actions. That’s why the proverbs writer wrote:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23
He knew that when we think about something long enough we begin to internalize it. It’s great for memorizing Scripture, but terrible for reliving the things people say about us and what they do to us.
It’s a daily challenge to think right thoughts, thoughts that make Him smile.
Life is just better when He smiles on our lives. It just is.
